Today is my roommates birthday. We got her a princess crown and had a fun little celebration for her. I just think the crown looked cool in this lighting, and it shows her personality very well. Happy Birthday Brittany!

Photo Journal: Day 12

Tonight I was making smoothies in my apartment when my roommates yelled I needed to look outside at the sunset. We live across from the temple so I grabbed my camera and sprinted over [jumping over the fence in a dress] but I couldn't see the sunset behind the temple because it covered it up. So then I ran across the road to the other side to where I could at least see the sunset. This isn't at the prettiest point, but I still love it.

Today was one of those snuggle up in a blanket kind of days. There's actually more meaning behind this blanket than one would know, because it was given to me by my best friend, who is also my boyfriend, who is now my missionary, two Christmases ago. He only has 6 1/2 months left and sometimes I just have days where I miss him and need to snuggle up in my blanket.

Today when I got back from Thanksgiving break, I decided it was time to decorate my room for Christmas. I love putting up Christmas lights and decorations. So this is just some of my decorations and lights. Tis the season.

Today I went out with my sisters to take some photos. Although I love taking photos in the summer or spring or fall when the earth is colorful and warm [or at least warmer than now] I found out this weekend that winter is also a beautiful time to take photos. If you can get past the cold, and frozen fingers, and smiles, it can be just as satisfying to take photos in.

Last year after Thanksgiving I went over to one of my friend's houses and we made gingerbread houses. It's been a tradition in their family since they were little, and they invited me to join in on the fun. This year my best friend and I decided to make a house together because we were to lazy to make our own. Although everyone made fun of our "construction" skills, we like it. It's always a fun time and way to bring out the fun, creative, child within you.

Thanksgiving! There were so many photos to chose from, but for me, this is one of my favorites. This little guy had about 3 pieces of that oreo desert. He wasn't given it by his parents, and he kept looking at them to see if they were going to take it away. He just couldn't stop eating it. Not to mention he was the only little kid his age or size there, so he had ALL the attention he could ask for.
