Moving Light Capture
"Brake Lights" 11/11/2010 9:15 pm. Rexburg ID. f-stop: 7.1 shutter: 4.97 sec. Canon PowerShot S3 IS.
For this picture, I didn't have a tripod, so I set my camera on my car, and waited for a car to drive by. I took the picture about a second before the car passed through the shot, and then having the longer shutter speed captured the moving lights.

Canon PowerShot S3 IS.I definitely had too much fun with this project. My roommates and I were up late one night just taking pictures. It was hard to pick only a few, so I decided to add my favorites. The colored lights are glowsticks, and the white light is a little flashlight. By using a long shutter speed in a DARK room, it captures the moving light. This was a really fun project, and I enjoyed learning how to do it! (The editing I did on all these were really simple, just enhancing levels and saturation. On "Retro" I just enhanced the Saturation as high as it would go to achieve the look I created.)

On this picture, I set a higher shutter speed and moved my camera around while taking a picture of a stereo system in a car. I'm not sure how the "iPod" showed up? But I thought it was pretty cool. The only edits I did were saturation and levels.
