Camera Raw

"Pine Creek Waterfalls" 10/2/2010 8:30 pm. Cokeville WY. F-stop:16 Shutter: 15 sec. Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi.
I took this photo after the sun had already gone done, and it was getting a little dark, but a car drove by and gave me the idea to shine my headlights on the shot. It gave me the right lighting that I wanted.  Using a slow shutter speed also gave me the "smooth water" effect I was going for. :)

To edit this photo, I used Camera Raw. I adjusted the lighting, blacks, contrast, and added a vignette. I also used the adjustment brush to add light to the "plants". Camera Raw is amazing, and so fun to use!

  3. I love that some of the colors really pop..but the red and yellow almost look a little too dramatic to me. I wonder if lowering the saturation a tiny bit would have seemed a bit more natural? Overall great job though!

  7. Michelle: I can see you know how to use the adjustment brushes in camera raw and I love it! Nice colors and now they are even richer. The edits really show off the slow shutter speed on the water. Nice and smooth. Great work, as usual!
